Biography

As an accomplished IT consultant and strategist, Damayanthi has led the development of numerous domain-specific software systems and driven digital transformation initiatives for local and international organizations, including fintechs and corporate enterprises. Her expertise bridges technology, business, and innovation, ensuring that organizations leverage IT for sustainable growth and efficiency.

In academia, she has served as a senior lecturer for IT programs across multiple institutions and now runs her own academy, nurturing the next generation of technology professionals in Sri Lanka. Having completed undergraduate studies in Information Technology, an MBA from the University of Peradeniya, and a Diploma in Psychology,complements her hands-on industry experience, allowing her to combine technical excellence with strategic insight.

Damayanthi’s leadership has gained international recognition. In 2022, she was honored with the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Award by the U.S. Department of State. In 2023, she received the IVLP Impact Award for empowering women in cybersecurity and the IVLP Alumni Award for her initiative “Bridging the Digital Gender Gap in Sri Lanka”, demonstrating her commitment to digital inclusion, gender equity, and capacity-building.

She founded iSeeQ Private Limited, through which she delivers innovative software solutions and industry-focused IT training, empowering professionals across Sri Lanka.
